Website Redesign and Development for Travel Retail and Catering Company
Problem
Tourvest Retail and Catering required a refresh of their website, as the existing platform no longer reflected the brand accurately. The site felt disconnected from how the business wanted to present itself publicly, and there was a clear need for greater control over content creation, editing and ongoing updates.

Technologies we used

Solution
Our process was divided into three distinct phases to ensure we delivered the right solution efficiently.
1. Discovery and Strategy:
We started with understanding key stakeholders’ pain points with the current website to ensure that their needs were catered for in the new design. We carried out competitor reviews and referenced other sites for inspiration. This helped the team establish a joint vision around the website’s visual narrative.
2. High Fidelity wireframe Design:
Using Figma, our design team crafted each screen to support the specific content and story of that page. From a user experience perspective, components were reused to ensure consistency, build rapport, and establish trust with users, while also delivering the added benefit of reduced development time.
3. Development and Delivery:
Our development team built the website using Strapi as a headless CMS (Content Management System) and Next.js with Tailwind CSS for the front end, all hosted on Microsoft Azure for secure, scalable delivery. Strapi was selected for its ability to centralise content management across platforms. Our team provided client training to ensure they can manage and update content independently.
Website features
The new website features include:
- Corporate Guidelines: The website includes the brands most current logo, colours and guidelines from Tourvest Corporate.
- Services: Every area of the business has a clear presence on the website, coming together to showcase the depth, scale, and experience Tourvest brings to the market.
- Interactive: Users can explore an interactive map that playfully highlights the areas serviced by the organisation. They are guided along a timeline showcasing the company’s history, and upon arriving on the website, they are welcomed with a short, succinct video that clearly communicates the company’s offering.
- Modern content: The content is up to date with the latest company announcements, imagery and articles related to the brand.
- Integrated LinkedIn Feed: Published content on LinkedIn was displayed as a live feed on the website.

Business value
1. Improved Customer Understanding of the Business Offering:
By clearly representing every area of the business and showcasing services collectively, the website communicates the depth, scale and experience of Tourvest more effectively. This reduces ambiguity around the organisation’s capabilities and helps users quickly understand the full value Tourvest brings to the market.
2. Stronger Brand Alignment and Market Positioning:
The refreshed website now accurately reflects Tourvest Retail and Catering’s corporate brand, visual identity and market stature. By aligning the site with Tourvests’ latest corporate guidelines and storytelling approach, the business presents a more credible, cohesive and professional presence, strengthening brand perception with partners, clients and prospective talent.
3. Enhanced User Engagement Through Interactive Storytelling:
Interactive elements such as the service-area map, company timeline, and introductory video guide users through the brand story in an engaging and intuitive way. This approach increases time on site, improves content discovery and creates a more memorable experience – helping Tourvest stand out in a competitive market.
4. Greater Control and Operational Efficiency:
The implementation of Strapi CMS empowers the Tourvest team to independently manage, edit and publish content without reliance on developers. This significantly reduces ongoing operational friction, lowers long-term maintenance costs and enables faster response to business updates, announcements and marketing needs.
5. Scalable and Future-Ready Platform:
Hosting the website on a secure Azure environment ensures reliability, performance and scalability as business needs evolve. The modular design approach and reusable components also provide a strong foundation for future enhancements, additional content and potential multi-platform expansion.
